Some Intriguing Running Backs In the Seventh

211. St Louis - Chris Ogbonnaya, Texas - He’s not blessed with great vision, but Ogbonnaya is a high character player, he’s an excellent receiver and blocker, and he’s strong and big enough to get the tough yards. Plus Steven Jackson hasn’t been the picture of health lately.

212. Kansas City - Javarris Williams, Tennessee State - He’s compact and he has a good initial burst, but lacks long speed and quickness - a poorer man’s version of Gartrell Johnson. Does the lack of a high RB pick mean KC is keeping Larry Johnson - even so, Williams could get opportunity in the future if he hangs around.

240. Arizona - LaRod Stephens-Howling, Pitt - Stephens-Howling is a little bowling ball with speed and terrific moves. Before Shady McCoy showed up, Stephens-Howling was Pitt’s leading rusher.

250. Jacksonville -  Rashad Jennings, Liberty - Physically, he was one of the top 10 RBs in the draft, easy. None of know why he dropped, there’s no character or medical stuff that we know of. He’ll pass Chauncey Washington and be poised to get a lot of work if MJD gets dinged.
