Mike Wallace might be the new Nate Washington (and possibly better) for the Steelers. If Sweed remains inconsistent (and as a Longhorn grad I’m betting he will), it might not take more than half a season for Wallace to pass him. Here, he lights up the screen with his smile at the Senior Bowl as he talks to us about his double moves and what he’s already learned from pro coaches:
You ask’a for da video, and’a I makes it. Brad new and fresh off the stove, I present athletic DT Terrance Knighton, the 3rd round pick of the Jags.
Made from scratch only minutes ago, check out our footage of the Cowboys’ 3rd rounder, Robert Brewster. He shows flashes of dominance, but you can also see him guessing and knocked off balance. A questionable pick with Meredith out there.
Lardarius Webb wasn’t on the draft world’s radar until he put up the fastest 40 of any DB at the combine. He’s also a lethal return man and he actually won conference player of the week honors on offense, defense, and special teams - making him the only player in NCAA history to pull off that trifecta.
Roy Miller has been rising up the boards since the Shrine Game. He’ll help a Tampa defense in transition become much tougher and harder to move up front, and he can even play some fullback. Check out his Draftguys TV profile if you want to get Roy Miller’s Xbox Live ID and play Halo with the third round pick of the Bucs.
I really like the choice of Antoine Caldwell to the Texans. At the Senior Bowl, he didn’t look that far off of guys like Eric Wood and Max Unger as a talent. He’ll also fill in at guard and he can move well enough to excel in their zone blocking scheme.
The 49ers said they were going to get a real complimentary back for Frank Gore, and they did. I don’t love Coffee’s ability to get yards after contact, but he can hit the hole quickly and break long gains with a terrific initial burst, although I still feel like Thomas Clayton never got a fair shake in San Fran.
Temple DT Terrance Knighton is a player that caught our eye at the Texas Vs The Nation game. He was a high school wide receiver that somehow morphed into a 320 pound defensive tackle over the last four years. He’s strong enough to be an immovable object vs. the run and quick enough to penetrate and blow up plays in the backfield.
William & Mary CB Derek Cox had a terrific pro day, and he’s a tall, fast corner who will also be a dangerous punt returner.

You might see this image a lot, Bengals fans. Johnson was a top 10 talent who was dogged by the rep of taking plays off. Now, the Bengals might be one of the worst cultures he could possibly go to in terms of kicking that habit, but even the 5-10 plays he really gets after it might be enough to win a game or two. He can block kicks, knock down passes, and flow to the run very well. We love the guy, even if this isn’t the ideal team to take him.
At the Shrine Game, we didn’t collect much film on him, but the kid flew to the ball all week long. He’s an intriguing OLB prospect for the Cowboys, who’ve had some success with athletic small-school guys at the position before.
...especially because he could’ve been a first rounder and would’ve been worth the pick.
Most of us thought he’d eventually be taken by a 3-4 team, but the Bears will use him as a DT as much as a DE, especially if Tommy Harris continues to get carted off the field with injuries. Look for him to wreak havoc. What an offseason for the Bears.
He’s a big boy and a penetrator. He has the body of a 3-4 end, but Bloom isn’t so sure he’ll hold up; 3-4 ends need to be able to clog the run, and that’s not his style.
The Chiefs now have a DL of Tyson Jackson, Glenn Dorsey, and Alex Magee.
This kid can ball. We saw him dominate the Outback Bowl against South Carolina, and his game against Illinois and Juice Williams was also one to behold.
